love that old tz-artistic film, now it goes green with the chemicals getting old. But you really got a nice feel with this shot. nice shot. birds of prey, birds on the fly
i actually haven't tried the new color film yet, but it's unlikely to be as awesome as the tz artistic (or the old time zero, for that matter) ... i'm hoping they get something similar eventually, it was kind of magic.
It is not at all close. Their (IP) film is okay maybe, has gotten better, but Polaroid had it down, and the IP film is often having to be babied to get a decent shot. I have wasted many shots and at 8 per pak that is a lot. But i am glad they are in business and hope for their continued attempts. But TZ was magic like you say and i got some of my favorite all time shots with that film. Now it's as i mentioned green and lost it's pizazzzzzz as i like to say.
yes ... it's an expensive thing. although at least with the black and white film, some of the terrible unpredictability actually gives interesting results. i find that i can work with that better than with color, where the contrast just gets totally lost.
I like your work, so you do well. I am mostly a painter but been shooting Polaroids since I was at the Art Institute. I still love shooting and enjoy when i nail one. It does get expensive. Worth it when you get a beauty. You should read Patti Smith's book "Just Kids" A lot of Polaroid writing in there. A great beautiful book. If you know About or like Patti Smith's music would help.
